She will get ratings and eyeballs towards them and Today; her replacement is very, very not Wisconsin weather-minded at all. I never like to complain about someone, but WISN swung and miss and should've paid Molly Bernard to take mornings; she did fine thriving with Baden and Reccia in a three-person team.

Longtime WTVR anchor and crime reporter Jon Burkett has decided to leave the station after 26 years.

 

September 29th will be his last day there.

Today was it. Kellie Burns' last day at WBBH Gulf Coast NBC.

 

Here was her last moments on air after a spectacular 33-year run. I think she's only had with Craig Wolf and Peter Busch as co-anchors that entire time.

 

EDIT: I forgot about the hour-long special being aired tonight at 8pm ET. If it shows up on YT, I'll post the link.

And they have their replacement. Its Elyse Chengery at 5:00, 6:00, and 11:00 on WBBH, joining Peter Busch on the main shows.

 

EDIT: She will continue to anchor the 7:00pm news on WZVN.

Changes are coming to the Montana Television Network and it's stations. Starting Monday, the network will launch new statewide newscasts across all of their stations with some localized content. Newscasts will be coming out of KPAX in the mornings and KTVQ in the evenings.

Based on Facebook posts from dismissed and retained staffers, it looks like they’ll go statewide from Missoula in the mornings and at noon (was already statewide). Then, in the evenings, I’m betting Scrippscasts will air as “Newscasts will be unique to each of the state’s television markets with locally focused news stories.” This leads me to believe the Billings anchor will front at least an “A” block for each individual market ala video jukebox then the markets will share the remainder of the newscast (maybe live, maybe not). Weather stays live in the evenings in each market per posts. 
 

This may actually be worse than what Cowles does with their stations as they’re at least live - for now.

WZZM Chief Meteorologist Samantha Jacques announced on FB she is leaving the station.  She's been Chief barely a year.  According to AM Anchor Tanner Hollbrook Friday is her last day.

With Elyse now on the main shows on WBBH, its Christy Soto taking over Elyse's 6:00 and 11:00pm weeknight gigs on WZVN.

 

Christy will still be on at 4:00pm on WBBH.
