Hi y'all. It's been a long while since I've uploaded some stuff to YouTube. Hopefully I'll be completely out of the hiatus I was on but I don't wanna make any promises and such.

KBSC Los Angeles Fantastic 52 Movie close (c. 1980). Telemundo's affiliation more than likely helped this station seeing how low budgeted it looked.

A very poor knockoff of WTTV/WTVR's Tribune graphics.

New from my VHS tapes. KPIX Eyewitness News open and close from January 24, 1982. This was the 6:30PM newscast that followed Super Bowl XVI, a super bowl in which the 49ers won. 

Uploaded some new stuff including some international stuff that I recently acquired from bought VHS tapes. 

KTVZ October 1994 Z21 News stuff. No newscast unfortunately. They seem to not have a weekend newscast at the time as a syndication of Cheers was at the 11PM timeslot. I'll upload the "no local news" NBC late night credits soon. 

TVE2 in Catalonia, Spain. This is their news open for L'informatiu which appears to be a newscast.

Some UK Network IDs. I got promos and other stuff that I'll upload in the coming days.

KIDK has elements pretty similar to WBBM.

Some uncommon and rare Boise stuff I found including some unseen/unheard KTVB Broadcast News stuff and (partial) KIVI with Gari's News Watch.

Unfortunately, no. I'm always buying tapes from online, flea markets, thrift stores or garage sales so if I stumble upon that era or any other rare era from any other station, I'll upload them.

I have uploaded a few more news stuff. Down the road, I may upload entire (or partial) newscasts of the stuff I own once I find the time to do so.

No, the entire clip is part of the newscast. The first few seconds is the intro to a short "NHK News" bulletin, not a network ID.

 

I don't even think Japanese TV stations do hourly IDs, they only ID themselves at startup and closedown.

Oh neat! Thank you for the correction. That makes the finding a lot more interesting. I wish there's more of the newscast but the recording gets cut off at the end. I changed the information in the title of the video. 

Take a look at what I acquired recently! NHK Network ID and the first few seconds of what appears to be a newscast. I have zero knowledge in Japanese broadcasting so I'm not 100% on any of the information that I'm saying but it's still a gem in my collection. 

EDIT: It's not a network ID like I originally thought but a very short NHK News Open. 

Here's a promo from WUHQ (now WOTV) in Battle Creek, MI circa 1988. WUHQ era videos of WOTV are seemingly rare. I've only seen about 2 other videos (a very brief DX clip in one of FuzzyMemoriesTV's video from 1979/1980 and a signoff)

Two-thirds of WLS 6pm newscast, January 1999. With how rare late-90's stuff is from the station, it's a shame the open is incomplete:

 

This must have been one of the last WPVI type opens that WLS did. I have a news open of their 10PM newscast from February 1999 when they went to the "rotating ring" opens.

A 1990 WTHR open with one of the oddest mixouts of Great News I've ever heard (and the TVbD "long box graphics" also used by WFSB and WFTV, among others):

 

Neat find! I forgot WTHR had that news open at some point. It looks like that's about 3 (or 4?) TVbD opens that they've used.

What news theme is that? It sounds different than their 1987 theme and it doesn't sound like Spirit (of Texas).

WTHR Be There Localized Promo Campaign (1983). I hope we see more localized promo campaigns from WTHR, WISH or WRTV if there were any.
