Natalie Pasquarella Joins WNBC this summer from Chaorlotte as new weekend evening anchor.
This is the 2nd weekend in a row that Lynda Baquero has joined Rob Schmitt at 11pm on Sunday night...Wonder if this is permanent or just temporary until they find a full time weekend evening co anchor... Personally I like seeing Lynda anchoring again.
Just announced at 11pm tonight that it is Stacey Bell's last day at channel 4...This month marks 1 year she's been with channel 4...No mention of where she's going.
Just clicked on the link directly and it said the page doesn't exist so they did take it down... Not sure what to make of this but if it is true that she left, don't be surprised to see either Gus Rosendale or newly hired Kerry Barrett take that spot.
Kerry Barrett, who was an anchor on Good Day on Fox 29 in Philly until this past December is joining WNBC soon...Not sure of her exact position but you can follow her here... https://mobile.twitter.com/Kerry4NY
Also an article said that now they are looking for someone with a news background...Could someone like Katie Couric or Dianne Sawyer work?...or would ABC not want to pay too much money for them.
The problem was from the beginning that Rosie O. wanted to take over and make it her show even though it wasn't and I know that pissed off a lot of people over at ABC...my friend works for ABC and said no one could stand her, even before she joined the show in September!
Must be some kind of system failure in the main studio...Rob must have ran upstairs from the 3rd to 7th floor in those 10 minutes they were off the air.
WNBC having major technical problems now...Went on the air at 11pm...no ones mic's were working so they cut to commercial imediatly...its 11:07 and there still in commercial...I have never seen this...something seems wrong in the control room!
I agree that was pretty bad...I'd rather have a serious promo telling me how the forecaster is going to accurately tell me the weather than a random country twang song showing them high fiving random people on the street...Like that actually happens.
