Whatever the reasons were, Allison's very abrupt departure is seriously bad optics, especially given how long Allison had been at the station and resonated with the community.
Not that this is anything related at all, but can't forget how Fox 5 has lost other big DMV names within the last few years, like Tony Perkins and Annie Yu, and has also seen its fair share of controversies in the past.
Anyways, in the case that these accusations of her being forced out are verified as fact, then we'll see if these changes really make the difference Fox 5 wants.
This is all such a shame. I was born and raised in the DMV and waking up to her was such a joy! Fox 5 has made some really bad choices the past few years - it’s a shame to see what’s happening there. Hopefully Allison lands on her feet on tv here again in the DMV.-

I mean it's a mouthful. Just call it "24/7 News" and be done with it.

Where do you work/live bud? As of this posting, 811 is still HSN here in Ashburn (Loudoun County) .
I received additional word from WDVM on coverage and Comcast gave them the most bullshit excuse for not carrying them in Loudoun County. It’s mind boggling..WDVM actually provides a valuable service to loudoun..UNLIKE WMDE which they must carry..

I do not have good news here. We are told by Comcast that they do not have the bandwith necessary to carry WDVM-TV in Loudoun County at this time. We will continue in our efforts.
WDVM-TV is available on Verizon FIOS and DISH Network in Loudoun County.

Arlington County. WDVM isn't on in the 1000s yet, but took over HSN on 811 and in SD (clipped) on 24. I figured Loudoun would have it before Arlington would...
It's listed as H+I in the guide (but there's also H+I on WDCA 20.2...)
