hey I'm in need to finding a video about khj. the video used to be about how khj became kcal with "probably" its last newscast before the switch (which also included the promo kcal used back in the early 90s). does anyone still have that video, or is the video considered lost?

Weeeeeeeeee!!! WAVY-TV pulled in more videos from their archives!
The first one was dated on December 16, 1980:
The second one came from June 10, 1981:
The third one was recorded on November 12, 1981

It can take years for the NMSA to fix certain sorts of mistakes. Case in point: the CBS 1988 affiliate package.
What about adding new campaigns to the page, like WTKR's Discover the Land of the 3? I submitted mines in, but they didn't bother, instead adding WAFF's We're Your Kind of People, and ignoring my addition. Come on, I've been waiting for a while. Will they just add it?
-
NMSA is incorrect - WXIA actually started using Hello News in 1982, not 1980. This is the "New Standard and Tradition" theme that was introduced with the affiliation swap in September 1980. (It's possibly by Peters Productions, though that's just a wild guess because they did the previous couple WXIA themes, and because the close had a sung jingle at the end.)
I've had audio of the close for many years, but NMSA has never added it (even when this open surfaced a couple years back).
Maybe NMSA can fix it?

Which is why I mentioned that they'd have to divest at least half of Tribune's stations to 3rd parties
I'm hoping that TEGNA decides to not buy the stations that could harm the purchase, and instead keep it to Tribune for it to be acquired by either Cox or Hearst.
-
And ironically, Tribune Media had no debt upon splitting, but is struggling so much that they might not be able to renew the CW affiliation agreement by this summer
If TEGNA does plan to buy Tribune Broadcasting, TV stations in Seattle, St Louis, Denver, Norfolk, and more are doomed to the FCC's duopoly rule.

It's also because (and I'll say it again) TEGNA owns the 3 largest affiliates of ABC, NBC, and CBS
They don't, however, own the largest Fox and CW station, with the honors being given to Cox Media Group and Tribune Broadcasting respectively. Again, you're just focusing on the Big 3 Network. Isn't Fox and CW a network?
-
And they were. Regina actually did the tribute pieces for Velma and Joe.
But if TEGNA dare to launch a second buyout, Regina might be gone. Remember, that not all TEGNA station got hit with the buyouts on Friday. So if TEGNA plans to buyout more people, that means more money for the company.

Not the best quality, but here's a clip of WAVY's storm coverage where Andy Fox...isn't quite ready when he gets a live toss from the studio
Does someone have a higher quality video of the incident?

I'm hoping that they do not remove/retire/buyout David Alan, Regina Mobley, Jeff Lawson, and Scott Cash from WVEC. They are the most recognizable news team in Hampton Roads, but they also meet the requirements for TEGNA's "50 years older, 15 years of work" requirement to be brought-out.
If this happens, WVEC's ratings are screwed.

TEGNA. Where we sell people in exchange for more money...

WHLT's final days with an in-house news department before Media General tossed it out. WHLT started a news update segment at night several years later that lasted a few minutes. WJTV eventually starting simulcasting their 10:00 p.m. newscast on WHLT. After several more changes, WHLT now has a 10:00 p.m. newscast that is recorded by WJTV and aired with all local content. WHLT has reporters that contribute to the newscast.
Woah! Is that Blaine Stewart?

Here are the open and talent to the original WVBT Fox 43 News at 7:
They aren't in good quality, but at least I found them.

From SkittlesMan's channel; here WTKR's September 12, 1986 News 3 at Noon (I think Glenn {Corillo} Corey and Ann Keffer were noon anchors at some point in their tenure at 'TKR). This might be the earliest clip I've seen their "Discover the Land of the 3" theme used (different, more synth-heavy cut than the version in the 1989 newscast I uploaded a while back)
The video is gone, does anyone still have it?
