I'm so glad East High got that set. They really need a good studio.

WAGM unveiled a new studio last fall. I don't think it's been covered on the fourms or Discord, but take a look at the set. It's FX Design Group's cookie cutter set that was used for a lot of ex-Raycom stations with duratrans and eventually placed with BMWs or BAMs. Also look how washed out the talent is on the set. I think this set only has the main anchor desk with duratrans, a wx center, and chroma key wall.

WVUE being such a strong market leader deserved better. This is worse than WGNO's package. Basic, Bland, Boring. Tegna looks better than this even. They should have stayed with Raycom's graphics if they couldn't do better.
Falling or the WLOX Package would have been better.

That’s the worst of them all. I thought they’d get the wkyt package.
Ehh….honeycomb is worse. The WBTV graphics are the best hands down! It’s a Bruce evolution of the LIM4 graphics package. I wish that WOIO’s graphics would become available to all stations.

What package would that be? Can’t find one that matches.
If you look at the graphics package on the monitor behind Liz or what’s on Sat 16 above the teleprompter, it’s the WMC Graphics package.

A bit of anchor shuffle at WMC in Memphis. You all know by now that Kontji Anthony will not extend her contract as weekday evening anchor at WMC. Her last day is set to be sometime in mid April.
Current morning co-anchor Joy Redmond has been promoted to co-anchor the weekday 5, 6, and 10pm evening newscasts. Weekend evening and weekday reporter Arianna Poindexter will become the new morning anchor. Weekday nightside reporter Keli Cook will replace Arianna's role.

Nexstar also took a long time building the new set for WSPA, which finally debuted back in December after almost 5 months. There were supply chain issues, and they had to await shipment of robotic cameras. And they had to train the talent for staging in the new studio, which is more of a stand up set rather than a traditional sit down anchor desk. It has a modern look with multiple monitor walls and I believe it was designed by FX. Not sure what the issue may be at WJZY or who has designed the new set. But I hope they still have a sit down anchor desk. And speaking of which, I don't understand why they have the anchors at WBTV stand at the anchor desk. Just doesn't look right. I prefer a traditional anchor desk intermixed with some stand ups at the monitor wall. Hope that will be the case with WJZY.
If anybody took a long time to get their set, it would have to be WREG. They took about 5 months to get rid of the newsroom, repaint the walls, and build the new set. They are now doing construction to build a new newsroom.

Here is some talk about racism at my local TEGNA station. It's a really goof video, and I think we need to have more conversations about this in media.

The station on Dothan,AL uses the same graphics as the new network news station Local News Live. WDAM’s Jessica Bowman left her morning anchor position to do something with them.

Found one of the old Gray TV Packages. If I'm correct, it's called 41 Degrees.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1hvHTfb14yA

So they also got a new set. I noticed they changed their website to the gfx pkg that they are currently using.

But my question is how did you find it

They only did it for that night. They had the Nexstar ABC gfx pkg for their 11 AM show.

Their set looks so Sinclair to me. The graphics are alright. Better than some of the other stations that use the same ones.

I don’t know if there is a thread for this, but Gray Television has updated their livestream players into HD for some legacy Raycom Stations. They are no longer pixely like the Raycom live-streams. Also when they go to break it says that you are watching a gray tv station. WMC’s livestream has been re-playing Friday’s live update during the Today show. They used the new livestream for the 3pm newscast yesterday.
They also updated WLBT’s

I was going through YouTube and I found a part of WDBD’s possible open with the WLOX graphics.

That's good. I'm not too impressed with Gray's packages. I hope more stations pick up the WAVE look.
I wish that every Gray station that picked up WMC’s pkg could pick up WAVE’s package, but that’s a dream.

Has KSWO in Lawton, OK gotten Gray’d yet?
New Cox Group Graphics Package

WHBQ would have looked nice with it too. It would be different instead of them just getting evolved looks with each graphics package since it’s FoxO&O days.
