  1. One of the great things about searching for videos on YouTube is that you never know what you'll find.

Case in point: Stations that once had a news operation.

Well, with that said, I want to share with you a clip out of WTLW 44 out of Lima, Ohio which was a religious independent station.

During the 1990s, WTLW had a news operation and even used Gari's "You've Got 8 On Your Side" as their news theme.

So, with that said, here is a 10pm open when WTLW once had a news operation.

  2. I am currently watching the live coverage on KTLA+ via my Roku smart TV and it is a devastating loss, because Sam was KTLA and one of the best entertainment reporters in the world. My thoughts and prayers go out to his family.

  3. If they were to sell a station in a smaller market, it would be WFXL, a FOX afilliate in Albany, Georgia. And it got me to thinking, if Gray was to acquire WFXL from Sinclair, they need to keep the FOX affiliation and restart a news operation with a 10pm newscast produced by WALB, the NBC station, to start out with.

As for a major market scenario, I predict that a company such as Gray or Nexstar would acquire the Seattle ABC (KOMO) and CW (KUNS) affiliates.

As for what is going to happen, this will get interesting as time progresses and I look forward to finding out who will acquire those stations.

  4. I find this thread to be so interesting, because I enjoy reading the conversation about GrayONE.

When WVLT unveiled the new GrayONE graphics about a month ago on April 1st, April Fools Day of all days, it became a wonderful improvement from the previous Gray graphics from over the years. And when I saw the opening of the noon news on that day, it made me so happy.

I feel that WVLT and KWQC are two stations that are my favorite uses of GrayONE. And, it will be interesting to see how WYMT, WKYT, WSMV and other Gray-owned stations will do with GrayONE.
