johnnya2k6 171
Now that NBC Nightly News is the first network newscast in North America to be in HD, CTV and CBC are right now in a race to see who'll be the first in Canada to broadcast their national news in HD. Well, the CBC has said that "The National" will be in HD by the end of this year, though "CTV National News" may have to one-up them this fall. The local CTV newscasts might slowly follow suit in 2008, but we haven't heard from Global yet. For CTV, I'm sure they'll have no problem going HD, since Lloyd Robertson anchors from an open newsroom. But how would he look? We shudder to think. johnnya2k6 171
UPDATE: Guess they didn't want to wait till the fall, but "The National" is right now rolling in HD. As for CTV National News? For them to go HD, they may have to increase the makeup budget for Lloyd Robertson.
