newsjunkieUSA 0 Posted August 29, 2011 Share Posted August 29, 2011 Scott Harris, one of the "old dogs" of Orlando TV News, and one of the originals of Central Florida News 13, passed away this morning after a battle with kidney cancer; he was 64. He was one of the rarities - those that have spent their entire career in one place. His place was here in Orlando. He was a grauduate of Edgewater High and UCF; logged in some time in the Air Force; and spent his career at WESH, WKMG, and News-Talk WDBO before ending up at, and helping start, News 13 in 1997. He anchored until this past March; from there, he continued to host his weekend show "The Agenda". Hal Boedeker of the Orlando Sentinel broke yesterday that he checked into a hospice for his cancer.
