WPIX's new 5pm newscast is going to suck

Rather than start with a recap of the latest news, the first piece of the show on most nights will be a five-minute story with multiple reports. A traditional recap, like the station does at 10 p.m., won't happen until 5:30 p.m. And there often will be a story midway through the show that builds on what Cooper did that afternoon.

Usually just by watching an anchor everyday, he/she would grow on me. But it's just not happening with Applegate.

Yup. Saw a promo with her and Anderson Cooper recently. Most likely it will be her.

 

The smart move they would have is to put Kaity alongside her in the studio or even in the newsroom and have a woman duo anchor team. However, they most likely won't and as of late I think the chemistry between Kaity and Jodi is starting to go sour. Evidence is in my signature.
