CDubya87 0
While watching one of my favorite disaster movies, The Towering Inferno, I noticed something that, as a young boy watching it years ago, didn't notice until now, with my new TV info. At the dedication ceremony for 'The Glass Tower' on Montgomery Street in San Francisco in 1974, there's numerous news crews running about - with old film reel cameras. Two of those stand out in all of the shots - a giant 4 and 5 - one even having 'KRON-TV 4 NBC' stamped on it - and then a close up of a Channel 5 mic flag - with their classic Westinghouse 5. I took a couple of captures and thought I'd share a walk down memory lane... *Edit- Yes, I know I spelled 'KRON' wrong in the picture file - I put Cron, don't ask me where my mind was, it's 12 in the morning here lol Link to comment https://localnewstalk.net/topic/12055-a-little-sanfran-nostalgia/ Share on other sites
C Block 1566
Nice caps. There's also a lot of KPIX (mic flags with Anklepants, etc.) and a fair amount of KRON in Milk, too.
