I think they are trying to change their news operation. Especially, with new director and the anchor changes...

New graphics would be nice too. :D

WTKR had 11@11 for a while (from the time they switched to Eyewitness News in 1992 until the switch to NewsChannel 3 in 1995). I'm not sure if they had it during the Millennium 3 era, I know they had it during the Ignitor era until 2002, I remember WTKR ran promos for it around 2000. I never understood it at first, I thought they started the late news 11 minutes before 11pm :(

I actually like the "First 5 Minutes" deal. However I do agree that KTVT needs a graphics makeover.

The "First 5 Minutes" is ridiculous. There entire newscast has become a joke. It's sad to see such a solid newscsast become this new crap that Regent Ducas brought to KTVT.

Speaking of KTVT, I just noticed their website is now combined with TXA21. They've both got one together now, seems very unnecessary.

wow, the last time i checked, they had their own individual websites. and also, i don't remember the 11 @ 11, but it would work. but, the first 5 minutes would work more for KXAS, since it is NBC 5

Remember the 7/2/95 Network switch for KDFW & KTVT? When Channel 11 became the new CBS affiliate (Then Owner: Gaylord Broadcasting) they added a 6 pm newscast and a 5:30 Sunday newscast, but when they started 11 on 11 or (ELEVEN on 11) Cameron Harper (WPTY) and Midge Hill were the Sunday-Thursday 10pm Anchors and Beth McKay and

Jerry Jenkins were the Friday-Saturday 10pm Anchors. Like I said, it's ELEVEN on 11, not 11 @ 11. And it lasted I think

from 1995-1998. If you referring to 11@11, KSTW Seattle (THEN: CBS) used to have a title called ELEVEN @ 11 and

WYSR (THEN: WIXT) still using the title 11@11.

Yeah, it would work better for KXAS. Not just because of the number, but because it would fit their fast-paced, crime story galore newscast...Sadly what KTVT is becoming.

I remember a couple of years ago WISH-TV had "THE TOP 8 ON 8." Now WRTV has Eleven Minutes of Nonstop News.
