T.L. Hughes 890
Amanda Davis, the 6 and 10 p.m. co-anchor at Fox-owned WAGA/Atlanta, was arrested on DUI charges early Sunday morning (November 11) after she was involved in a wrong-way car accident while driving northbound in the southbound lane of Piedmont Avenue in Atlanta around 12:20 a.m. ET. According to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution, the police officer who responded to the scene said that he noticed Davis smelled of alcohol, she then admitted that she had been drinking, when the officer asked her if she had been. Davis though refused to take a field sobriety and state-administered chemical tests. Davis was taken to jail on charges of DUI, failure to maintain lane and reckless driving. David Jarman, the driver whose Toyota Corolla Davis crashed into, was taken to Grady Memorial Hospital after complaining of injuries. In a statement released to ABC affiliate WSB-TV, Mike McClain, WAGA's vice president of news, responded: “We are aware of the situation and we are currently investigating.” Link to comment https://localnewstalk.net/topic/12262-waga-anchor-arrested-for-dui/ Share on other sites

KRAP-TV 146
She had a prior incident way back in 1991. You would hope that she would have learned her lesson then. If this isn't a wake-up call for her to seek help, I don't know what is. She could have easily killed someone, according to these pictures: http://www.11alive.com/news/photo-gallery.aspx?storyid=264188 Link to comment https://localnewstalk.net/topic/12262-waga-anchor-arrested-for-dui/#findComment-77102 Share on other sites
