Well, there's no need for a nationwide search for a new lead weatherman for KHOU-TV, because David Paul is now at the helm. David has been named chief meteorologist at KHOU 11. Paul joined KHOU in 1996, serving as the station’s weekday morning meteorologist for more than 15 years. He moved to the evening shift, delivering forecasts on the 4, 5, 6 & 10 p.m. newscasts.

In a statement announcing the promotion, KHOU news director Phil Bruce called Paul “completely natural and always glad to meet a new friend.” “David knows the ups and downs of Gulf Coast weather, and that kind of expertise is invaluable when it comes to staying on top of dangerous conditions and giving our viewers the information they need to stay safe,” Bruce said.

Paul replaces Gene Norman, who left KHOU in November.
