Chikage, currently at WTHR/Indianapolis is on maternity leave after giving birth to her second child two months ago. Chikage is no stranger to Texas weather broadcasting, she was the meteorologist at WFAA & TXCN here in Dallas from the 90s to early 2000s. Windler. was a meteorologist at KSTP/Minneapolis, WHDH/Boston, WRC/Washington, DC/ and WVEC/Norfork. She also appeared as a guest meteorologist on ABC's Good Morning America and ABC World News (Tonight). Chikage got her start in television working behind-the-scenes in the weather department of KOTV in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Before television, Chikage actually chased tornadoes as part of the VORTEX-95 project at the National Severe Storms Laboratory in Norman, Oklahoma. She was honored with the 2009 Upper Midwest Emmy Award for Outstanding Weathercaster and was nominated in 2010. She was also nominated for a New England Emmy Award for her weathercasts in 2006.
