TVNewsCheck is posting that President & General Manager of WVIT 30 in Connecticut David Doebler will be the new President & General Manager of WMAQ-TV, effective immediately. He replaces longtime GM Larry Wert, which he resigned after being appointed as the new president of Tribune Broadcasting on February 13.
