Leavellebrett 85
I just turned on The Late Show and noticed a slick new open. Fancy new New York City skylines and street views. It goes great with Alan Kalter's new voice-over that he debuted earlier this year. The CBS Orchestra added a lot of rubato to the theme and slowed and sped it up to coincide with the theme. It's just awesome. If you're not on the east coast... check it out later... it's really nice. EDIT: I haven't been able to watch Dave the past few days and apparently the open debut around April 22. fl19ga114sc105 3
The Late Show with David Letterman has already made fun of there new graphics. On the 30-April-2013 broadcast before going to the first break Alan says "I bet anything would look impressive with these fancy new graphics." *pause* "COLE SLAW!" *up flies the picture* Its more funny to see then read so here's a picture of it:
Leavellebrett 85
Now that I listen to the Late Late Show theme, it sounds re-recorded. There's more of an orchestration in it.
hathawaynson2 38
That would be the Paul Shaffer and the CBS orchestra that is doing the late show with david letterman and yes it is pre recorded in the mornings.
ProButtonPusher 230
What really stuck out to me (as a director, I guess) is the new camera shots in the beginning. The director also started using more cut-away shots then in the past.
caliwxdude 252
I'm nitpicking here, but I do miss the opening jib sweep of the audience. These new opening shots make the Ed Sullivan Theater look extremely small (which I'm sure it is).
