CircleSeven 1945
Chicago Tribune is posting this morning, that former Chicago Sun-Times media columnist Robert Feder will launch his own blog sometime next month, through a partnership with rival newspaper, the Chicago Tribune. His blog will also be editorially independent, so Feder will be responsible for his own content.Even though his blog will be heavily marketed/advertised by the Trib, don't expect Feder's blog to be integrated with the Tribune newspaper. Anytime Feder leaves a venture, it leaves a big hole in the media beat coverage in Chicago. I hope he stays with this venture in the days and months ahead. LoadStar 363
why did he leave the Suntimes? He was offered a buyout, and he took it. Generally, if a paper is offering buyouts, it's usually a good idea to take them up on the offer, because otherwise you're almost certainly facing a future of being marginalized until eventually being let go.
