CircleSeven 1955
It would've been a catastrophic event if this would've been prolonged into the NFL season. You know they want to see their Jets games. I'm also happy that the Racine & Kenosha counties in WI can now see WBBM again. But this blackout was a month long? If they would've made a deal prior to all this back and forth, we wouldn't have a blackout to begin. It's sad that many of the TWC customers have to spend all that money on getting an antenna to see CBS, now they'll have to shell out more money when TWC jacks up the rates again. A double whammy for the consumer. And you wonder why more folks are cord-cutting these days? SMH. WFTV Channel 9 80
It's already been a month?!? I find that hard to believe. I don't watch WTOG so that's probably why. Here's what WTSP says about it. http://www.wtsp.com/news/topstories/article/333402/250/CBS-Time-Warner-Cable-reach-agreement-end-blackout Link to comment https://localnewstalk.net/topic/12899-cbs-twc-end-blackout/#findComment-88692 Share on other sites
Geoffrey 861
Seemed funny that CBS aired a Late Show repeat tonight where Letterman poked fun at the blackout and the announcer did a shout out to people watching via their black and white TVs. badabing 29
... now maybe CBS can spend some time learning which stations they own in New York. (Hint: WCBS's sister station isn't WLYW.) http://www.cbscorporation.com/news-article.php?id=973 As expected, the official press release from CBS has been updated to reflect that CBS owns WLNY... and that WLYW is not even a station, let alone one that they own in New York. Really sloppy work for a press release that should have been prepared a month ago.
