Last night on WALA-TV's 9:00 PM newscast, the news of longtime TV host Dot Moore's death came to our attention. She retired from WALA in July 2004 after 47 years in broadcasting and 41 years at Channel 10. Her funeral will take place in Mobile on Friday.

Unfortunately, the only page online with a great amount of information on Moore is on Wikipedia. It was my first article written for the site and that long before I realized the online encyclopedia's flaws. After the recent deletion of my article on local radio Uncle Henry due to a dispute over notability and references, I decided to end my relationship with Wikipedia and save a few of my articles (including the Dot Moore article) in Microsoft Word. Here are a few updates I want in the Moore article, if you don't mind adding them:

Month of birth (May 1914)

"She died in a Montgomery nursing home on May 23, 2007" (at the end of the article's last paragraph)

[[Category:1914 births]]

[[Category:2007 deaths]]
