tyrannical bastard 4036 Posted April 11, 2014 Posted April 11, 2014 It's amazing WVMH has lasted this long....I see them being sold off if Bray loses his shirt and the company in this lawsuit. These would make great Nexstar stations....and even they would be a MASSIVE improvement over how West Virginia Media has run the show the past decade.
NEOMatrix 1307 Posted April 11, 2014 Posted April 11, 2014 I'll let this article do the talking. http://www.charlestondailymail.com/article/20140409/DM02/140409215/1280 That guy makes Massa David look like Mother Teresa. But seriously, this could be a good opportunity for Nexstar. WeAreTheMountains.com anyone?
NewsMaster 226 Posted April 11, 2014 Author Posted April 11, 2014 Or Gray without WOWK. That would make a powerhouse statewide network with WSAZ, WTRF, WVNS, WBOY and WTAP. Plus combine those with WKYT/WYMT, WHSV and WCAV etc., and you've got it made. The Hunt Valley Heathens may be out of this one, because there are 2 conflicts (WOWK and WCHS/WVAH, WTRF and WTOV).
tyrannical bastard 4036 Posted April 11, 2014 Posted April 11, 2014 A lot of West Virginia Media's operations are based out of WOWK in Charleston, where they relocated to 2 years ago from their former studios in Huntington. I don't know if they still do this, but all weekend newscasts originated from WOWK and so did weather forecasts for WVNS. These allegations bring back memories of the antics of former anchor Tom McGee...who is infamous for his numerous DUIs, lawsuits, and flame outs with his now former employers
