n925tv 143
Hi. Recently, KFMB in San Diego, bought a couple of Toyota Sequoia SUV's, to use for their news truck fleet. Why did they buy these cars, instead of buying some News ENG Trucks from Frontline? I don't get why they got these cars, and now they are doing most of their live shots with some "portable" Antenna. Thanks! Link to comment https://localnewstalk.net/topic/13799-kfmb-live-feeds/ Share on other sites
Weeters 1916
Because money. An ENG truck will easily set you back a half million dollars, plus the expense of maintaing it for the next ten years or more. An SUV with a small antenna to pick up cellular signals and a LiveU will cost a fraction of that.
