WFIE-Evansville anchor retiring after 41 years

David James, a fixture at Raycom's WFIE since 1973, is stepping down from the anchor desk in January.

I'll go ahead and speculate that former WTVW/WEHT staffer Randy Moore will replace him come January. Moore announced he was joining the station a year ago and has been working behind the scenes, sitting out a non-compete since.

I imagine this was the transition plan all along.
