TriangleTriadMediaNews 267
Very very sad day for broadcast journalism. http://ktla.com/2015/02/13/stan-chambers-longtime-ktla-reporter-dead-at-91/
ToriElectra 291
Aw, man. He was, I think, the last veteran of the pre-WB/CW KTLA News. He will be missed (especially by MST3K fans; he appeared in one film, War of the Colossal Beast, mispronouncing the call letters as "KIT-lah"). TexasTVNews 1366
They'll never be another Stan Chambers. Stan was just one of the best next to Hal Fishman. RIP Stan and Godspeed.
stevieboy247 42
LA has had its share of legendary broadcasters, such as Chick Hearn, Hal Fishman, and Jerry Dunphy just to name a few. As for Stan Chambers, he fits in to that category because he was truly one of the greatest ever. RIP Stan, and may god bless you.
ToriElectra 291
You really shouldn't say stuff like that, you just jinxed us. Nevermind.
TheRolyPoly 1847
Man... I'm in complete shock and denial over his death. He was the best reporter in L.A. and possibly in the country. He is someone who I wanna be with... A journalist who can last so long in the industry. I know that's hard today, but I hope I get to. For Stan Chambers to report on LA's biggest stories for 63 years is just mind boggling and nothing sure of a bravo, a standing ovation and a huge debt of gratitude to a man that future journalists (like myself) all look up to. For me, I wanna be Stan Chambers. I hope I can last that long. Thank you Stan for what you did. For inspiring future journalists, like myself to get into the industry, to report and to last as long as you did. You will be truly forever missed by all. Thank you.
