Weeters 1916
A few years ago one of the Chicago stations had to be evacuated for an electrical fire on a different floor of the building they were in.. Anyone remember what station it was. I'm thinking it was WLS before they got their new State Street studio. Anyone remember what station it was. I'm thinking it was WLS before they got their new State Street studio. It was WLS. The fire was in an electrical room in the basement/parking garage. No major damage. Just a little smoke made its way up to the first floor. At the time, they were still in their upper floor studio. The building was evacuated; however, the anchors in the studio and the control room staff remained so the newscast can go on.
