Hello everyone:

Patricia, as you may know, is the strongest tropical cyclone ever in the history. And sadly, it has just landed in the coasts of Jalisco, Colima and Michoacán in Mexico. Even The Weather Channel has changed into Storm Alert Mode and they made a special program.

In case you've wondered, here's the way Mexican TV channels are covering the event:

Televisa: All of their main channels have placed a ticker that is present during the whole of the broadcast day:

Even its news channel, Foro TV has special rolling coverage.

TV Azteca: No special ticker has been created, however most of their programs have their own tickers:

Public broadcasters such as Canal Once have also tickers during their programming and they have short news updates thru the day:

News channels such as Milenio TV from Monterrey and Bloomberg TV Mexico have rolling coverage:

I like the way Mexican channels are covering it, but sadly there isn't a dedicated weather channel in here. Can you help me please, how international outlets are covering the situation???

CNNi covers it, but the complete coverage of the hurracane is on The Weather Channel, they had a special report on it yesterday evening.

Thanks plnewsfan. There was an update at 6am Central Mexican Time on Canal Once which reported that Patricia has become a Tropical Storm. There were some damages in the states of Jalisco, Colima and Michocacán, however there are no reports of fatalities, as all of the people which may were affected by Patricia were relocated to special houses, but they will not return until the houses are checked minusciously in case of any damage.

Here's another montage of yesterday's coverage, which includes more channels (as seen in Guadalajara cable TV):

(In order from top left to bottom right: XEW-TV, XHTV-TV, XHGC-TV, XHIMT-TV, Azteca Noticias (TV Azteca's news channel), XEQ-TV, Canal Once, Once Niños (Canal Once's kids channel), XHDF-TV, recently closed Cadena 3, Excélsior TV, Una Voz con Todos (public television), Mexican Educational Television, Proyecto 40 (XHTVM), Canal 44 from Guadalajara, Monterrey's Milenio and Univision Deportes Mexico)

If you look on the last image, even the football match between Atlas and Chivas, called by Mexicans "Clásico Tapatío" was suspended due to Patricia. It will be played instead on November 11th.
