Sinclair buying Circa assets

Sinclair announced it's buying the rights to Circa. If you don't remember what that was, it was a San Francisco start-up news app that presented news stories in small, swipable bites of information with pictures, maps, and other graphics. It was a pretty innovative mobile news app, and a lot of other outlets copied its overall ideas and designs, but it shut down earlier in the year because it didn't secure enough funding to continue.

 

I can't really tell much, but it doesn't look like much of the original Circa team is returning to run it. It seems like Sinclair is tapping its own people to resurrect it.
