Savannah: CW moving to WSAV 3.2; WGSA going dark?

I learned that WSAV 3 has picked up the CW affiliation from WGSA 35 and will start airing it on WSAV 3.2 in HD from September 12th of this year. These subchannel changes will leave WGSA 35 to become Independent or silent and effectively discontinue WSAV 3’s 24/7 local weather channel on WSAV 3.3, which is currently known as WSAV 3 Weather NOW.

WGSA already airs a WSAV-produced 10pm newscast. Do you think MG/Nexstar is just buying WGSA's programming and moving it to WSAV so that WGSA's owners can sell its spectrum in the auction?

Three points to make IMO:

1) WGSA doesn't air a 10:00pm newscast anymore. It's been long gone and it only airs on WSAV 3.2 - MyLC, which could remain on 3.2 once it becomes a CW. Wikipedia hasn't updated about that in so long. There used to be a local show that replaced it and now Tosh.O has taken over the timeslot.

2) The spectrum auction deadline has passed, so WGSA would more likely remain on the air in the near future.

3) What will the future hold for WGCW-LP on Channel 38, The CW Plus affiliate for Savannah?

EDIT: Forgot to make another point... MyLC, home to MyTV and Me-TV, will move to WSAV 3.3
