ColDayNews 438 Posted December 8, 2017 Posted December 8, 2017 I saw WCMH's Chopper 4 over my mother's home in Dayton a few weeks ago, and I'm kicking my own ass for not taking a photo... however, this looks as if Nexstar is beginning to invest in the Dayton market after being virtually ignored by LIN and Sunrise. As much as I bag on station groups like Sinclair and Nexstar due to their penny-pinching, this is a good thing. This is the only chopper in the Dayton market after Cox grounded WHIO's bird in 2008 due to the economic crash.
AJClementeFan69 477 Posted December 9, 2017 Posted December 9, 2017 Is it really a chopper share agreement if they're co-owned? Probably just sharing among sister stations, which happens a lot. Big market sister will send the chopper out to a big story in smaller station's market, both end up using the footage.
