capper581 0 Posted August 11, 2007 Share Posted August 11, 2007 Lets go over the stations he destroyed... poor WJBK was just trying to get its footing as a new FOX O&O and he ruined the station before they even had a chance, then FOX saw the big ratings WJBK was getting (sarcasm), they thought he was none other than the best choice to have running their flagship station in NY. When WNYW got the WJBK effect post newsweek in Detroit thought it would be bright to hire him at WDIV seeing the great work he did for their competitor FOX2(sarcasm again). He is easiley in the top 5 worst news directors, next to some of the CBS O&O directors. He literally took WDIV's ratings and slammed them to the ground. But the only people we can blame here are the stations for hiring him and keeping him that long, and im only ranting on this man b/c he not only sucks at his job but he sucks as a person too. mbhcity 3 Posted August 13, 2007 Share Posted August 13, 2007 I think John Lippman of KCBS in Los Angeles was the worst, well at least he're, and the idiot that dropped Jerry Dunphy back when it was KNXT. He treated people like crap, didn't know a damn thing about how to run a newsroom. In his mind, he tried to manage through fear and intimidation. His act didn't last long before they threw his ass out the door. The man is the consumate con artist. For 30-plus years, dating back to his time in Miami and even Albany, NY, he has been taking money from T.V. stations. Telling them he has a great mind for news, when in reality he is completely lost. To sum up, if he were ever hit by a bus and needed help, I can guarantee you have the people in NY would spit on him, kick him and laugh and keep on walking.... The man in a nutshell is quite possibly the worst person to ever work for - PERIOD! Congrats Neil, you continue to sink to new lows.
