Jacksonville TV changes

At several of the TV stations in Jacksonville, changes are going to be made. A noted change is that WJXX 25, who simulcasts the First Coast News on WTLV, will drop its simulcast, and will air the Ellen Degeneres show at 5.

Another thing, if cfif or anyone else from the Tampa Bay area sees Jeannie Blaylock's 1985 Resume Tape, you can see a young Russell Rhodes (now at WTVT since 1994) co-anchoring with Jeannieat the beginning of the video.

One Question: Is ABC 25 still going to be simulcast at 6 & 11pm by NBC 12 besides the 7pm?

Yes, channel 25 will still simulcast the 6 and 7 pm broadcasts that WTLV carries.

Weren't there rumors or speculation that when WJXX's contract with ABC expires that it would not be renewed?

And because of this, there was a slight chance WJXT might sign with ABC and have a network affiliation again?

 

I remember reading this a long time ago, so things might have changed.

WJXX renewed with ABC in 2004. The affiliation expires Feb. 28, 2014.
