KKyuubi 0
Locally owned WGTU and WGTQ (the ABC affiliates for Northern Michigan) are going to be sold to Tucker Broadcasting for $10 million dollars. Tucker is also planning to go into a LMA with Barrington Broadcasting (owners of NBC affiliates WTOM/WPBN, in the same market). From what I hear, their on-air quality is quite pathetic, and the only local newscasts are "updates" during GMA and a 10 minute update at 11pm. Who knows, they might get upgrades, or even have WTOM produce their news for them! Also, the pathetic stations also got a not-so-pathetic new BDI site: http://www.wgtu.com/ Link to comment https://localnewstalk.net/topic/2144-wgtuwgtq-soldnew-site-too/ Share on other sites

Tucker is a former head honcho for Fisher Broadcasting. Link to comment https://localnewstalk.net/topic/2144-wgtuwgtq-soldnew-site-too/#findComment-20702 Share on other sites
