This story is from http://www.dcrtv.com/

Angie Goff, who is now the weekend morning news anchor at WIS in Columbia, and also a reporter, will now become the traffic reporter in the mornings at WUSA. She is a big loss for WIS, as she was one of their top reporters, and she had been there for almost three years.

What do you think about this, since anchors did traffic on channel 9 before that?

Originally, WUSA had someone from Metro Traffic doing traffic in the studio, but that was stopped when WUSA began using Traffic.com graphics. They had a Traffic.com reporter but she only lasted a week, after that the reporters gave the reports.

I think it was really about not having a reporter for traffic.

Take Care,

WUSA, from what I heard, had no plans to stop having a traffic reporter. Initially, the plan was to keep on the reporter Tracy Metro, who was employed with traffic.com, the folks that they purchased their new graphics system from. She, however did not work out, (her presentation was horrible)

Previously, they had Nicole O'brien, who was employed with Metro Traffic but they let her go because they no longer had a contract with her employer. So, what they did was instead of getting another reporter from traffic.com, (learning from the bad experience with Tracy Metro) they decided to hire someone from the outside and put them on their staff. Too bad for Nicole O'Brien......She really knew her stuff.
