gg92101 0 Posted October 27, 2007 Share Posted October 27, 2007 Does anyone know if Kathleen Bade has left Channel 8, KFMB in San Diego? In the past week, we've had one of the busiest news weeks ever in the area with the wildfires, and she was sight unseen on the air. She's also gone from the KFMB website, which I imagine is a surefire sign of being done at the station. I just wanted to know if anyone heard or saw anything "official," like her saying goodbye on her final broadcast. A3N 1002 Posted October 27, 2007 Share Posted October 27, 2007 Yes. Kathleen is gone from KFMB. She said her last good bye's last Friday during the 11pm news. She told me that she is going to spend some time with her kids and doesn't know what she will do next, but rumors are that she might wind up at KUSI or FOX 6. As you might have noticed, Stan is taking her spot on the 11pm news while Barbara-Lee will assume the 6:30 role. On a side note Jaymee Sire's bio has also been removed, she is going to work freelance until she starts her new job as a reporter for Comcast in the Bay Area. She use to work at KSAZ before arriving at KFMB in 2001. Or she could wind up in Los Angeles, who knows? I think FOX 6 is in a wait and see approach. They are using Maria Arcega-Dunn in the interim while they do hire someone permanent. My guess is that they will end up hiring two anchors, whether it's Kathleen Bade or someone else I don't know. I really don't think that Lynda will be the anchor though. November sweeps is just a few days away, and it will be very interesting to see what happens.
