tyrannical bastard 4036 Posted November 30, 2007 Posted November 30, 2007 http://new.vindy.com/news/2007/nov/30/marinelli-out-at-tv33-others-unclear/?newswatch Today, WYTV in Youngstown, Ohio notified employees through their paychecks on whether on not they would be employed after December 9th. The station was recently purchased by Parkin Media and will have New Vision owned WKBN produce all of its newscasts. Already confirmed that anchors Vince Bevacqua and Gina Marinelli (who worked at WKBN for 19 years until 2005) have been canned. WYTV only plans on keeping sales and management in their current building after the 9th. In addition, New Vision will be notifying employees of WKBN the status of their jobs, as well on December 7th... It's a shame to see this happen to yet another station, but the way Youngstown's been headed the last few years, the writing has likely been on the wall....
YoungstownTV 0 Posted December 1, 2007 Posted December 1, 2007 I really can't believe this is happening. It will be so weird for 4 stations to be run under one roof: WKBN, WYFX, WYTV and the Youngstown My Network station!!
