Ntropolis 599 Posted January 9, 2008 Posted January 9, 2008 It appears that WFXI/WYDO "FOX 8 FOX 14" in Greenville/Morehead City, NC is rebranding as "FOX Eastern Carolina." Good move I think, I've always thought dual-channel brandings were weird. Now all we need to get is WFXR/WWCW to become "FOX Southwest Virginia" or something... http://www.fox8fox14.com/ Also, does anyone know if FOX 8 FOX 14 still has a newscast? WNCT (they produce 8/14's newscast) started one on their CW subchannel, and Gary Dean (anchor) retired yesterday.
Ntropolis 599 Posted January 9, 2008 Author Posted January 9, 2008 Did some more research, sale of the station to Bonten Media (owners of WCTI) has gone through. I'd expect to see a 10pm newscast produced by WCTI on there. Article from TVNewsDay (you'll need an account): http://www.tvnewsday.com/articles/2007/11/06/daily.10/

TrfRptr 3 Posted January 10, 2008 Posted January 10, 2008 WFFT in Fort Wayne doesn't produce any news. There have been rumors for years of a potential startup for a 10PM show but that hasn't evolved. The station re-branded from FOX 55 to FOX Fort Wayne since it isn't on channel 55 on any local cable systems, just over-the-air. The station also went HD in mid-December. The re-branding took place Jan. 1
