fox1 0
On 2 November, Network Ten was rocked by the worst event in its history. Senior co-anchor in Perth and national anchor Charmaine Dragun committed suicide by jumping from a cliff in Sydney's eastern suburbs. She was 29. Charmaine was a rising star at Ten News, having worked at its Perth station as a court reporter for several years before being promoted to co-anchor of its main local newscast, "Ten News at Five". She also regularly anchored Ten's national Late News on Friday nights and other network bulletins. Charmaine co-anchored the 5pm news for Perth but was based at Ten's national headquarters in Sydney. It has been reported that Charmaine suffered with depression for many years and was feeling isolated and removed from family and friends on the other side of the country. Rest in peace Charmaine. timgraham 0
"The worst event in history" is probably a bit much, but it was very sad to hear.
