rjdickens 1 Posted February 29, 2008 Share Posted February 29, 2008 We were notified about two hours ago that Ion is severing our affiliation agreement, effective at 12 midnight tonight. I haven't heard yet, but I'll bet they did the same thing with most of the other 14 non O&O's. They were making what we felt were unreasonable demands (leaving us with 3 minutes an hour for local commercials, demanding we run infomercials 14 hours a days without getting paid for them, etc.) They said they would be open to renegotiation once AT&T comes to Wichita, but Ron told them, good luck with that. I've put together a stopgap schedule to get us through the weekend. The hard work comes tomorrow, when I have to come up with something more permanent. Right now, it sucks to be me.
