Ntropolis 596
They got rid of their awesomely cool website. Maybe it was some contract thing between Young Broadcasting and WorldNow... all the other Young stations use (and have used for some time now) WorldNow sites. http://www.wkrn.com/ Link to comment https://localnewstalk.net/topic/3301-wkrn-switches-to-worldnow/ Share on other sites
blueflag 0
Young slash-'n'-burn took out their Web team? Just a wild guess.... Link to comment https://localnewstalk.net/topic/3301-wkrn-switches-to-worldnow/#findComment-29383 Share on other sites

PelicanGuy 117
That particular design has been in place for a few years now. Link to comment https://localnewstalk.net/topic/3301-wkrn-switches-to-worldnow/#findComment-29392 Share on other sites
WXmanTim 88
That's a shame...their website was, as you said, awesomely cool. I have to start watching my words when it comes to the station, I'm interning with morning meteorologist Jeff Ray starting in May. jdcnow 14
Meh...the header banner just strikes me the wrong way. I would've made the NEWS(2) ghost they have in the center be the website logo. I too, will miss the old site. I liked that you didn't have to go to the weather page for the Doppler Radar image; it was right there in the top banner. (Nostalgiac sigh) Link to comment https://localnewstalk.net/topic/3301-wkrn-switches-to-worldnow/#findComment-29623 Share on other sites

jdcnow 14
what did the old site look like?? It a WAAAAAAAAAAYYYYYY cooler format/layout. More content on the front page, the aforementioned radar image where you could zoom in square by square on each section of the map. It was just a lot better, I think...
