Liz Cho leaving WABC

i've been waiting for this to come out. can't do it myself -- the whole job thing -- but i CAN comment anonymously! cho has been wanting more money or away from 7 for a long while now. it hasn't been reported at all. she's been bucking heads with management since last year, and now it seems it's coming to a head. i heard wcbs was moving people out so they would have enough money in the coffers to offer cho something big. fox wants her, but only to bring some legitimacy to their wwor news op. for the right price she'll go, but she DOES NOT want to be on 9. she's right, too -- it'll kill her profile. i'm trying to find out more today. it's not going to be immediate, but cho WILL BE GONE from 7 in the next few days. they're trying to work something favorable for both parties to walk away. cho is fighting to have the non-compete dropped from the contract, so when she does go, she'll be on at her new job within a week.

From todays artivle of the NY Daily News, Peter Dunn Saids:

""The strategic realignment of our team will allow the station to continue to invest wisely in the people and infrastructure that will drive future growth in ratings, revenue and community service,"

Is that a hint for Liz Cho to come on board, and perhaps anchor with Steve Bartlestein?

Is WNBC interested?
