Ron Stone, former KPRC anchor and reporter from 1972 to 1992 has passed away from prostate cancer. Stone, who had also worked at KHOU was 72.

This is a man, who bring us the news every night for the past 20+ years at KPRC. He was a true legend next to the late greats Sylvan Rodiguez and Marvin Zindler. There never be another broadcaster or a communicator like Ron Stone. He'll be always looking at the Eyes of Texas from the skies and stars above. All of us at TVNewsTalk want to extend our hearts, prayers and condolences to Ron Jr, The Stone Family and his extended family at KPRC.

I remember he co-anchored with Linda Lorelle and Jan Carson during the 6 and 10 PM newscasts (Linda at 6 and Jan at 10).
