What happened to the G.O. Strobe Magazine thread?

nothing was said in there that wasn't true or public knowledge? lame-o... man I used to be a real fan of theirs, but between Al Jazeera and this, if you can't own up to what you're doing, it only makes it worse when it suddenly disappears. Hiding much?

I was e-mailed about it and asked to take it down because it was "slander" and "untrue".

Hmm...

Maybe I should wait until I hear from an attorney to take it down? I think there would actually have to be some slander involved to make anything out of it... I don't know if you can go after someone for the truth?

Who knows...

wow, that says a lot. Well I guess I get why it was taken down from TVSpy, cause they were assuming a lot about the effects to their once glorious work, but that is still not slanderous. Like cfif said, it's opinion.

As long as no one was lying I would not think it's an issue. It's one thing if it was completely false. but um. it's not. If they are embraced that it's public knowledge maybe they should have been a little more cautious than to register under their company name?? It's the internet dude, the info is a matter of public knowledge. Heck I have no problem with em doing that, chicks are chicks, but I'm sure some in News would not be so keen on it. Kinda lame that they would lean on you to take it down. They want to censor the truth now? I guess we'll know when this gets taken down?

Do a simple Google search for "Strobe Magazine" and G.O.'s owners name, what do you get?

Just the facts. Watch out Google you're next. The reaction is a real shame.

The Whois says it's registered to "Giant Octopus, Inc", but the Florida Department of State says GO's legal operating name is "Giant Octopus Corporation".

Maybe it's another company?

and maybe they both happen to be run by two different people by the same name??? fat chance.

do a google search.

who cares?

Watch out...GO may SOO YOO.

for what? public knowledge?? they can get as pissy as they wanna get. If yer gonna lie, cover your tracks.

one in the same. Clearwater Florida. where is G.O. located? I'm sure it would not have been such a big to do if it wasn't for the way they try to threaten you guys. With slander?? where? Someone over at TVSpy made the connection. Ok, so what is wrong with that? If that is not the case then I'm sorry. But looks like a duck, sounds like a duck, it might be a duck? They do great design work and they shoot half nekid girls too. Fantastic! But don't strong arm or try to intimidate people when it's not warranted. No one on this forum did anything wrong. If they did, then explain what?

It's the TV biz, should not be shocking.

Lemme try this again without plugging my Interwebs blatantly...

You guys all know that before Hothaus became Hothaus, they did at least one open for one of the old softcore shows that ran on Showtime in the late 90s, early 2000s...right? It might have been Compromising Situations. They even had it on their reel for a long time before they made it big.

--Don't ask how I know the title to the show.

I think there is quite a bit of difference in doing a show open for Showtime and doing Strobe Magazine...no nudity for one. And, I believe (though I may be wrong) they were already called Hothaus when they did the piece.

Click WBC job...a strobe magazine cover is actually on their website. This settles any doubts about it. I came across this portion of the site accidentally, there's nothing much on it.
