It's 11pm right now and most if not all of the Florida coast is keeping an eye on Tropical Storm Fay. And as most people know when hurricanes comes, so does the local yokel TV news. We'll start:

WSVN (aka 7Noise):

their "A" Team-Belkys, Craig and Phil

WFOR (Talking Head City Camera Snooze):

Antonio, Shannon, JeffB and DavidB.

WTVJ:

Olympic Coverage

haven't checked 'PLG yet, JackieNasalSpray, I hope you've checked out the coverage from there?

Since SFLTV isn't doing any coverage of the storm due to the admin on vacation, here's an update for those living in SoFLA:

WFOR:

Contining it's wall-to-wall coverage. (CBS programming on sister station WBFS)

WTVJ:

Olympics (no surprises there)

WSVN:

Wall-to-wall coverage, website running slow due to heavy traffic.

WPLG:

Wall-to-wall. (Preempts ABC programming)

I want to hear from you guys living in SoFLA how are they handling the coverage of Fay.

The Tampa coverage was no argument, WTVT was the best!!!!! Their number of reporters, their expertise, all of their mets, photogs, etc. were great. - no hype, no bs, just facts. WFTS, Denis flew around the station, Linda G bounced. WFLA, Jerve is very good, but boring. - forget Gayle!!

WWSB, sucked!!! Their 2 mets seemed out-teamed. They placed fuzzy graphics on their site. They seemed to state the obvious more than possibility or probability. This station was in the eyes of this reviewer, bush-league, small town, low budget, and probably not a good source to which to turn during an event like this one.

Ok here is the results courtesy of SFLTV.com:

No surprises there, but WSVN is the Top Dog when it comes to storm coverage. WFOR on the other hand, well, see the video entitled "City Camera Snooze":
