On today's Feder article, Hosea Sanders will be out for four to six weeks while recovering from hip replacement surgery. Channel 7 announced it on the 6am hour of the morning news. Kevin Roy & Ravi Baichwal will be filling in his spot.

I like all of ABC 7's other newscasts, but the morning news I am not a fan of. I'm not sure what it is. I think its their stuffy set. It doesn't seem appropriate for a morning newscast. I don't like seeing all that those blue backdrops in the morning. I do like the city skyline backdrops used in the interview area. They are much better. I like how NBC 5 does their morning news from their street level studio with some segments done outside.

With the exception of Roz Varon, I'm not a fan of their morning team. ESPECIALLY Tracy Butler. The majority of the anchors on channel 7 seem so cold in their delivery. It's like they're #1 so they don't care. No emotion in their delivery, toss-offs between anchors/reporters, or in reports.

The anchor team I like best that seems the most down to earth and friendly is Cheryl Burton and Alan Krashesky. Unfortunately, they only get to anchor together when others are off. They have great on air chemistry.
