CircleSeven 1960 Posted November 10, 2008 Posted November 10, 2008 As you know, the FCC requires television stations to start airing those 100-day countdown notions which will lead up to the analog cut-off date on 11:59pm local time on Tuesday, February 17th, 2009. I just saw a five second tag on WLS with the notion with a big 100 on the screen. Have anybony else have saw similar notions?

I saw one on WFLA, Tampa (cfif - I was at the gym and was not permitted to change the channel). are they prompting for a d-day as it were?
mdotto9 0 Posted November 12, 2008 Posted November 12, 2008 KARE has the same thing...it says 98 days left. They also have a voiceover saying "Only XX days left until the DTV switch. Are you ready?"
ProButtonPusher 230 Posted November 12, 2008 Posted November 12, 2008 WTVY has a big count down in their legal ID at the top of every hour...
TennTV1983 806 Posted November 13, 2008 Posted November 13, 2008 WSMV does a 5-second tag featuring one of the anchors every other commercial break. They pretty much say the same thing KARE does.
Tyler 151 Posted November 14, 2008 Posted November 14, 2008 All PA stations are doing a "DTV Transition Test" on Monday at 6:25 pm.
sctvhound 27 Posted November 16, 2008 Posted November 16, 2008 In Charleston, Channel 2 and Channel 5 both do a 100-day countdown, on the morning news and in IDs.
Ntropolis 598 Posted November 22, 2008 Posted November 22, 2008 WGNT's doing some interesting cross-promotion between shows and the DTV switch... today I saw a promo with "only 88 days until House of Payne goes digital."
PitCleTV 9 Posted December 9, 2008 Posted December 9, 2008 WFMJ (Youngstown) is using the same countdown as NBC O&Os, you can tell by the graphics. I'm guessing it's KNTV's because of the palm trees.
