Neilium 0
When working with 3d programs (Maya, C4d, Zaxwerks) I have found if you save the file as an illustrator 8 version .EPS or earlier it will work. Most 3d programs cant handle all the data they new versions pack into the files. Check out... http://forums.creativecow.net/ There are a lot of good resources there. Neilium 0
You can do an Alpha channel two ways. Render the file and then render a matte of the file. You can put these files together in any halfway decent editing program. Kinda old school but a lot of places still do this. or you can render export it as a Quicktime. I use uncompressed (or when you select compression choose "none"). Make sure they are 32bit. Choose "Millions of colors +" That includes an alpha channel. Some will just have "Millions of colors" listed but no "+". These will not have an alpha channel. 24bit has no alpha channel. You might have to stray away from the default settings. Hope this helps. Neilium 0
You might need to change the default setting in C4d to make the background transparent. I recall it rending out black as a default back in the day. Link to comment https://localnewstalk.net/topic/4964-illustrator-help/#findComment-46618 Share on other sites
