NashvilleTV5 0 Posted January 28, 2007 Posted January 28, 2007 Alright folks, This is the big one. News Channel 5, WTVF in Nashville will soon be broadcasting in High Definition. They will be the only local news station in the state of Tennessee to be broadcasting in HD. Here is an article from The Tennessean about WTVF going to HD. http://tennessean.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=/20070128/BUSINESS01/701280366/1436/BUSINESS
KKyuubi 0 Posted January 28, 2007 Posted January 28, 2007 Quite...neutral for an HD set, a bit more darker than usual, but still: nice!
NashvilleTV5 0 Posted January 28, 2007 Author Posted January 28, 2007 A friend of mine said that it seems like that WTVF likes to go casual and contemporary (good choice of word? :-\) Would you guys agree? I agree. That's good; to me, it says that they give equal attention to both their look and their coverage.
TennTV1983 806 Posted January 28, 2007 Posted January 28, 2007 Well, this is good news. Looks like one of my new year's predicitions came true. I wonder how the graphics will look? EDIT: Never mind. It looks like I answered my own question on that one: http://www.newschannel5.com/global/Category.asp?c=92320 BTW, did FX Group build their new set? It looks similar to their style.
caliwxdude 254 Posted January 29, 2007 Posted January 29, 2007 Yeah, the graphics look like a slightly altered version of WSB and WFTV's Giant Octopus HD graphics.
TennTV1983 806 Posted February 4, 2007 Posted February 4, 2007 The new look debuted two days earlier than expected. Here are the pics. I'll post video soon of the new openings. EDIT: Okay, here we go.
