Galle's most recent posting is the NBC affiliate in Salinas, Calif. He'll join WDSU in May. "Growing up in New Orleans, I developed a real fascination and healthy respect for the weather," said Galle in a WDSU news release. "In this part of the world, you absolutely need to know what's going on with the weather. It has a tremendous impact on all of our lives. It's one of the reasons I pursued a career in meteorology. "Coming home to join WDSU -- it's really something special." Galle's career pre-broadcasting includes service in the Marine Corps and work in Hollywood a writer, actor and producer. He apparently acted under the name Jack Galle, where his cast credits include "Without a Trace," "CSI" and "24." Galle's www.imdb.com profile also lists him as writer and executive producer of the 2006 short film "Pearblossom Highway."
