Weeters 1981 Posted May 11, 2009 Posted May 11, 2009 http://www.tvnewsday.com/articles/2009/05/11/daily.5/ I think the best part of the article is: "It is clear that our AXIS online services will play an important role in the future of graphics production — on-air and online — for newspapers' date=' radio[/b'], pure play Internet and, of course, television broadcasters," Um, why on earth does a radio station need any sort of on-air graphic system?
TennTV1983 811 Posted May 11, 2009 Posted May 11, 2009 http://www.tvnewsday.com/articles/2009/05/11/daily.5/ I think the best part of the article is: Um, why on earth does a radio station need any sort of on-air graphic system? Some radio stations have internet websites with video. Just a hunch.
Weeters 1981 Posted May 12, 2009 Author Posted May 12, 2009 So this is basically Gannett all over again? Well, there's already a O&O package, and graphics were being hubbed in Tampa, so, yes, kinda.
TennTV1983 811 Posted May 12, 2009 Posted May 12, 2009 I think Media General does the same thing, except they use VIZRT as their system.
DMA 136 Posted May 12, 2009 Posted May 12, 2009 I highly doubt this means getting new O&O graphics-I think it's mostly for syndicated OTS and the like.
Jess 1115 Posted May 13, 2009 Posted May 13, 2009 it's for the hub - this is the same technology Gannett used.
