Guest cfif Posted May 20, 2009 Posted May 20, 2009 http://www.bostonherald.com/track/inside_track/view/2009_05_20_Randy_Price_s_return_/srvc=home&position=also Longtime Boston TV newsman Randy Price may be returning to the local news scene - as a reporter/anchor for Channel 5 . Price, the face of Channel 7 for 12 years and the city’s first openly gay anchorman, was dumped by 7News in February after a series of clashes with management over the direction of the newscast. Today he reportedly meets with the big guns at WCVB and will try out with morning anchorgal Bianca de la Garza as the station seeks a replacement for Jim Boyd, who decamped to thebostonchannel.com back in December. Not sure why someone with so much local cred in Boston would need to try out....I guess to see if he chems well with his co-anchor.
l14dap 1 Posted June 2, 2009 Posted June 2, 2009 Turns out he got the job... no surprise there. He'll do well! http://www.thebostonchannel.com/news/19631635/detail.html
